What This Does and Does Not Change
- It turns off advertising personalisation. We tell Google not to use this device's visits to show you our advertisements on other websites.
- It leaves basic site measurement on. We still count how many people visit and which pages they read, because that is how we know the website works. That counting is not used to advertise to you.
- It does not affect an enquiry you have already sent. If you have contacted us about a project, we still hold what you sent us so we can answer it. To ask about that information, or to have it deleted, use the contact page.
- It is per device and per browser. The setting is a cookie, so clearing your browser data or using a different device means setting it again.
If Your Browser Already Sends a Signal
Some browsers and extensions send a Global Privacy Control signal on your behalf. We read that signal on every page of this site and treat it as an opt-out, so if your browser sends it, you are already covered and this page will tell you so.
